A Photographic Adventure with Planning Ventures

It’s always a joy when a I get to work with a new client - never more true than in this example. Planning Ventures is a Planning Consultancy led by Julie Laming and Lyn Jones based here in Bristol, and we ‘met’ through Instagram. Jules and Lyn were looking to give their web content a more consistent look, specifically their projects section, something they felt I could assist with. After a Zoom meeting and a few emails, I was ready to get going. Being as the photography was pretty much all outside, I was able to continue during lockdown, observing all the guidelines, of course.

Over the course of four days, I visited all the locations, and submitted edited shots to Jules and Lyn. I revisited a couple of the sites as access had been tricky first time round. Proof if ever any were needed, that consent and access are two critical factors to secure the right images. The over-riding factor was to make sure that Jules and Lyn were delighted with the shots - this is always the most important thing to me, and I will do whatever is necessary to achieve this.

In line with the varied types of projects that the Planning Ventures team are involved with, the locations were very varied in nature, and this to me is what makes my job interesting - plus I got to meet some equally interesting people along the way!

I’m looking forward to shooting some more projects for Jules & Lyn in the future, but in the meantime do take a look at their fabulous website to see their enlightened approach to Planning Consultancy.
